One our favourite english programs is Doc Martin and as we were only about 10 miles away from where it is filmed, we decided to take a trip there. The village of Port Isaac is a stand in for the fictional village of "Portwenn". So off again we headed again down narrow hedge-lined roadways, find a car park and take a walk along the coast to the townsite.
cows on the cliff.......
....above the harbour
swirling waters below
caves in the headlands
private little beach
interesting stone work
and there it is "Doc Martin"'s house above the harbour,
the third house from the right
interesting chimney top
close-up look at an old slate roof
looking out from the harbour
this is a working harbour
another interesting looking slate covered house
if you look hard you can see the sign for the "Canadian Terrace"
on the left hand house
coming into harbour at speed
nice stone work
that's Tintagel at the far left
liking the pattern in the stonework wall
