Around Holsworthy

May 27
Just spent the day around Holsworthy

dead soldiers waiting to be recycled

this is the hotel and reception area at the place we are
staying - love the thatched roof

tree tunnels

narrow roads and close hedgerows

Holsworthy Church and graveyard

War Memorial

do you think this occupant is trying to get out or perhaps has already departed

bell ringers ropes

those quilt patterns again

stained glass windows

an impressive organ

remember - look up - the ceiling

angels on high

saints behind the altar

a second organ

grave marker inside the church - note that there was about 2 1/2 feet that would have been buried in the ground
he was an ironmonger

this one was a chemist and druggist who "finished his course" in 1853

church door - inside

this graveyard was chock-a-block full

unusual grave marker

two brothers and possibly a sister or mother
